Cleaning & Maintenance

•  Establish an inspection schedule for the expansion joint covers firstly.
• General care and cleaning by using a commercial grade cleaner and water. No acid based products should be used to clean the aluminum or rubber surfaces expansion joint covers.
• Using a clean cloth to wipe the damp contaminants. And for aluminum cover plates, using cleaning cloths, warm water and  a gentle detergent to clean up.it.
• For some heavy cleaning stains, a solvent or emulsion/ commercial grade spray cleaner may be needed. These cleaners must be spot tested prior to use.
• For unexposed expansion joint covers, there is no cleaning required to maintenance
• For roof expansion joint covers, it can be cleaned by a mild soup and water, and No acid based products should be used to clean the aluminum or rubber surfaces expansion joint covers.
