Cleaning & Maintenance 

1. Establish an inspection schedule for the expansion joint covers firstly.

2. General care and cleaning by using a commercial grade cleaner and water. No acid based
   products should be used to clean the aluminum or rubber surfaces expansion joint covers.

3. Using a clean cloth to wipe the damp contaminants. And for aluminum cover plates, using
   cleaning cloths, warm water and  a gentle detergent to clean up.it.

4. For some heavy cleaning stains, a solvent or emulsion/ commercial grade spray cleaner may
   be needed. These cleaners must be spot tested prior to use.

5. For unexposed expansion joint covers, there is no cleaning required to maintenance

6. For roof expansion joint covers, it can be cleaned by a mild soup and water, and No acid based
